Does the T-RAC System pressurize the axle?
No. The T-RAC system does not pressurize the axle. Air is delivered to the module through tubing inside the axle.
Do other inflation systems let the air out of the tire?
T-RAC engineering includes a relief valve for each tire which automatically opens to release high pressure that builds up due to the heating of the tire under normal operating conditions
Why does the T-RAC system let the air out of the tire?

The T-RAC system lets the air out o fthe tire because of the Ideal gas Law. This law has been around since 1809. It basically states that any gas under constant temperature will have its pressure remain constant. If the temperature increases...then its pressure will also increase.

In easy term its means that the temperature and pressure are directly related.

Why does the T-RAC system have a pressure gauge for each tire
Tires are individual air chambers that operate in a hostile roadway covered with bolts and other debris. these can puncture the tire and cause air to leak out slowly or rapidly. The T-RAC's 8 pressure gauges indicate the exact air pressure 24/7 adding to driver safety.
Some other systems experience substantial breakdowns, what makes the T-RAC system different?
T-RAC units carry a one year guarantee. Every system is pressurized and tested against leaks before it leaves our facility. Often time the units so up still holding pressure in the box.
In terms of Cost Per Mile (CPM) what is the average savings?
There are 2 cash savings, tires and fuel. In 2009, the tire CPM is running $0.038 per mile for new tires. The T-RAC CPM has been reduced to $0.024. This varies depending on load weight, travel speed, climate and driver methods. On fuel, SmartWay Transport Partnership indicates that properly inflated tires will see a minimum of 1%. Other T-RAC customers claim tire life has doubled, is that true?
Yes, current feedback from customer data indicates average mileage increases from 10,000 miles per 32/nd to 20,000 miles per 32/nd. Individual result will obviously vary, but all of the experts claim that if the tire runs properly inflated you will increase the life of it. The T-RAC is the only system in the world to offer a solution to under-inflation as well as over-inflation.
